The Site:  1000Fights.com

  • A travel blog written by a couple, for couples
  • “How” page focuses on practical ways to save on travel expenses
  • Extensive links to other couples blogs
  • Like 1000Fights on Facebook
  • @1000Fights on Twitter

1000 Fights is not a typo. The blog, written by Mike and Luci, a couple who met in the third grade and have been fighting ever since, takes a humorous look at how a couple travels together, fights together and still manages to stay happily together.

The Good:

In our estimation, the best page on the site was The How.  There were some good money saving tips on how to use travel vouchers and play the exchange rates to your advantage there.  Other than that:

  1. Some of the blogs on Mike and Luci’s extensive Link Love list were very good. We liked The Never Ending Voyage, for example;
  2. We thought Mike and Luci seemed like a cute couple.

The Bad:

If you’re looking for a blog with links to the “Hottest Blogging Hunks” (actual post title) with a sidebar whose most prominent link is to a lingerie website, then maybe 1000 Fights is just what you’re looking for.  If you like to read stories about complete strangers’ domestic arguments, 1000 Fights is definitely going to appeal to you.  However, if you’re looking for an informative travel blog, you may want to look elsewhere. That being said, 1000 Fights is a fun website with a unique slant that might very well evolve into an awesome website.  Perhaps it needs some time. We’ll keep an eye on it.
