The Good:   Marriott has creative hotel package deals such as family zoo packages, Nickolodean getaways, girlfriend spa trips and romantic wine-tasting packages.  Marriott’s cheapest deals are searchable by city, state or country.  It seems like Marriott is always offering free parking or gift card promotions which are only available if you book directly with them.   All hotel deals require Marriott promotion codes, which are found when you search the Marriott’s deals page.   We also think “Shop Marriott” is awesome.   You can actually buy Marriott beds, their signature Orange Ginger Aromatherapy bath products, and those comfy pillows!

The Bad:   Although we really like the hotel packages with Marriott promotion codes, it can be difficult to find dates and/or hotels that are actually available for booking.   Before you try to book a hotel package deal with one of those 3 digit Marriott promotion codes, click the link that says “Terms and Conditions”.  If there are any blackout dates or minimum stay restrictions you will find them here.  After you enter your dates and the results screen says the “Promotion is not available for selected dates/hotel”, make sure to click the link below that says, “View Alternate Locations”.   This will pull up nearby hotels that are available under that Marriott promotion code.  We think this is a bit confusing, but this is how we found the bookable hotel deals on Marriott.com.

The Fees *:   Marriott does not charge additional booking fees.   You can typically cancel a regular Marriott hotel reservation up until 1 day prior to arrival, however it varies per hotel.  Click the link that says “rate rules” to view the Marriott cancellation policy prior to booking.  If you book a “Advance Purchase Rate” hotel, which is a reduced nightly rate, these are not refundable and your credit card is charged at the time of booking. *Based solely on research done by TravelSiteCritic.com, these figures may be inaccurate and are subject to change.  Read the policy on Marriott.com before you buy.
