The Site:  BookHotelRooms.com

  • No hotel booking fees
  • Compare hotel rates for more than 7900 hotels, with unpublished hotel rates up to 60% OFF*
  • Customer reviews of hotels worldwide

The Good:

We’re huge fans of the simplicity of the BookHotelRooms.com website. No flashing banners to distract you, just a simple search box and  a spattering of their top deals on the home page.  We were also impressed with the pricing we found for some 4-star hotels in major cities, even finding a few rates that were cheaper than the hotels own booking websites.

So, it appears to us that they have unpublished hotel rates in some cases.   You don’t need to worry about finding coupon codes to book hotel rooms here, as the discounted rates automatically are applied.   Their search engine doesn’t pull up a bunch of hotels located in the suburbs of downtown, so our search was much faster.   Booking a hotel is super fast and easy on BookHotelRooms.com, so overall we recommend their site for its simplicity and competitive pricing.

The Bad:

We were in the market for a last minute hotel in downtown Seattle, Washington.  We mean really last minute, like… tonight.  While we realize this is no easy task, hot deals can sometimes be found at the last minute.  So, we entered in our search with today’s date, and a long list of hotel choices pulled up.  We were immediately impressed with the prices for some of the hotels, such as Hotel Max for less than $160*, which was less than we found on the their website. Why is this bad?

Well…. when we got to the booking screen we noticed that it had automatically changed our check-in and check-out dates to 2 weeks in the future.   Thinking we had done something wrong, we went back to the home page of BookHotelRooms.com and entered in our desired travel dates, and again without warning it pulled up a list of hotel deals for other dates.   If we weren’t paying more attention, we might have unwittingly booked the room, thinking that it was for the dates we entered in the search box.  Either there is something wrong with their hotel search engine, or you can not book very last minute hotels on BookHotelRooms.com.  Granted, you likely won’t be booking a hotel the day of your reservation, but we recommend that you pay special attention to the dates on the final booking screen to make sure they are correct.

That being said, we literally couldn’t believe some of the cheap rates they had for downtown Seattle hotels, including several high-quality hotels (we are all too familiar with Seattle-area hotels) for less than $150* a night. This is generally unheard of.  We will definitely use BookHotelRooms.com next time we are planning a trip (with more than a moments notice)!

The Fees*

BookHotelRooms.com does not charge booking fees.

No change or cancellation fees are charged on hotel bookings by BookHotelRooms.com.  If you change or cancel your hotel reservation online or through the call center at BookHotelRooms.com, they will not charge you a fee or penalty. However, the hotel property may charge you a penalty fee, and BookHotelRooms.com will be required to pass that charge onto you.  You may read each hotels individual cancellation policy from the room availability page while booking, or on your confirmation email after the booking has been made.
