The Good:
Aloft offers “hip & trendy” hotels for a budget price, and they have some great promotions to help you save even more. Today we found their “Aloft Better Tomorrows” special, which currently offers 40% off* your second night in an Aloft hotel. Although the selection of Aloft hotels is currently limited to 69, they are part of the Starwood family so you can earn Starpoints for each of your stays which you can later apply to any other Starwood brand hotels, such as Le Meridien, Westin, or Sheraton.
The Bad:
Perhaps we are not young and “hip” enough for the lingo, but at times they seem to be trying too hard. They describe Aloft Hotels as the “the new tWistSM in travel”, and we were left scratching our heads…. tWistSM?
The Fees *:
- No booking fees
- “Reserve & Relax – Advance Purchase Rate” reservations are prepaid and do not allow for cancellation refunds
- “Book Now And Save” reservations are prepaid and are subject to 1st night rate penalty upon cancellation up until 3 days prior to first night stay. Within 3 days of reservation, no cancellation refund is available.
- “Best Available Rate” reservations generally allow for full cancellations up until 6:00PM of first night stay
