Support those affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill – With Travelocity’s Gulf Beach Guarantee!
You can help support the communities that have been affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico by spending your travel dollars there. Travelocity just launched a ‘Gulf Beach Guarantee’, which runs through September 10, 2010. Travelocity’s Gulf Beach Guarantee provides that if you book a stay at one of the participating Gulf Coast hotels (located in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi), and if a governmental agency closes a beach located within 20 miles of the hotel, you will get a FULL refund for any hotel nights that you do not use. The Travelocity Gulf Beach Guarantee further provides that they will notify you directly if a beach near your resort closes, even if it is prior to your departure.

Travelocity is helping those affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill by starting a donation drive, which benefits the National Wildlife Federation. They are also trying to promote Gulf Coast travel to help boost the economy in these regions.
