AccorHotels.com is comprised of over 2,700 hotels in the USA and 90 other countries, ranging widely from budget to luxury hotels. \u00a0There are 14 Accor Hotel brands to choose from: Sofitel, Pullman, Mgallery, Novotel, Mercure, Suitehotel, Ibis, All Seasons, Etap, Hotel F1, Formule 1, Accor Thalassa, Adagio and Barriere.<\/em><\/p>\n

USER EXPERIENCE<\/h3>\n

The hotel search results screen uses great little icons that illustrate the amenities that each hotel has, such as free Wi-Fi or pets allowed. \u00a0We quickly sorted our results by price and were able to easily filter out the hotels that didn’t have the necessary amenities. \u00a0That being said, we would have liked to have seen some hotel ratings or reviews to assist us in choosing hotel. \u00a0Perhaps they removed the links to TripAdvisor<\/a> reviews after their fake review \u00a0posting scandal in 2013 (see “Reputation” below).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

FEES<\/h3>\n

There are no booking fees. \u00a0We did not find a fee for cancellations either; however the cancellation terms vary per booking. \u00a0 Some reservations are prepaid without refunds. So, if you cancel you will lose the entire cost of the reservation. \u00a0Others may cost more upfront, but allow you to cancel at least 2 days before your trip. \u00a0Always read the terms and conditions on the final booking screen before finalizing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

PRICING<\/h3>\n

With so many brands to choose from, anyone can easily find a hotel on AccorHotels.com that is in their price-range. \u00a0The best way to snag a deal is to visit the AccorHotels.com promotions page<\/a>. \u00a0You are guaranteed to find the best rate at AccorHotels.com, with their Best Price Guarantee. \u00a0This Guarantee will match the best price found elsewhere online and beat it by 10%.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

REPUTATION<\/h3>\n

In 2013, they were in hot water after an AccorHotels communications manager was caught posting hundreds of false hotel reviews on TripAdvisor<\/a>. \u00a0He went so far as to post bad hotel reviews about their competition! \u00a0This has brought their ethics into question. \u00a0We reviewed their BBB listing and they have less than 100 resolved customer complaints. \u00a0We did not find customer complaints about AccorHotels online. \u00a0Customer complaints may be directed to\u00a0accorreservations@accor-customercare.com<\/a>, and please leave your review below for our readers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

UNIQUENESS<\/h3>\n

What really stands out to us on the Accor Hotels website is their\u00a0themed packages<\/a>\u00a0page. You tell them what kind of vacation you want (ie. “recharge your batteries<\/em>“) and AccorHotels.com will tell you where to go and build a package for you. \u00a0We also love their \u201cAlong a Planned Route<\/em>\u201d search engine, which allows you to search for hotels near the route that you are taking to your destination.<\/p>\n

The AccorHotels free rewards program “Le Club” allows you to redeem points with several partners (such as Avis) in addition to redeeming for hotel stays. \u00a0The best part of their reward program is exclusive access to private hotel deals.<\/p>\n

AccorHotels.com has a full line of mobile apps (iPhone, Android, iPad, Blackberry) that are very useful to business travelers. \u00a0The “Away on Business” app for the iPad is loaded with 30 business destinations and allows you to save and manage your travel expenses along with your hotel reservations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
