website that offers MP3 travel guides for sale. \u00a0At the time we visited, the destinations were limited to Egypt, Japan and Greece.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>The Good:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We have to give Iconic Guides the benefit of the doubt, because it looks like a start-up enterprise, with an apparent copyright date of 2010. \u00a0The layout of the site is very pleasing to the eye and the limited destinations they cover in their catalog are pleasing enough, too. \u00a0The free sample we listened to, excerpts from \u2018<em>The Tomb of Tutankhamun<\/em>\u2019, \u2018<em>Knossos<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018<em>Byodo-in<\/em>\u2019 were very informative. \u00a0As we listened to The Tomb of Tutankhamun, we really did get drawn into the narrative and could imagine ourselves learning from the audio as we explored the tomb. \u00a0At around $4.99 USD individually, the audios seem to be good value for the money.<\/p>\n<div class=\"simplePullQuote right\"><\/p>\n<p>Forget the tour guide, leave your travel book at home and come join with us in an audio adventure of the ancient world &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Benedict Davies<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>The Bad:<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iconicguides.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> was almost devoid of content and the entry we read, <a title=\"Permanent Link: A Triumvirate of Temples at Nara\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iconicguides.com\/a-triumvirate-of-temples-at-nara-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">A Triumvirate of Temples at Nara<\/a>, was interesting enough, but had a textbook ring to it. \u00a0We think the creators of Iconic Guides should take some cues from other commercial travel guide websites and offer some more free content in their blog. \u00a0 Free content suits our budget and also
