Unitied Vacations promotionsThe Site: UnitedVacations.com

  • United Airlines Vacations are combined with United Airlines flights (Hotels + United Airlines flights).
  • United Vacations does not sell airfare alone, except to the following destinations: Punta Cana, Los Cabos, Montego Bay, Negril, Puerto Vallarta, Ocho Rios, St. Maarten, Ixtapa and Cancun.
  • Top Destinations Include:
  • Lifestyle vacations: Choose vacations that fit your lifestyle, such as adventure, gaming, or romantic.
  • Multistop vacation planner. Book multiple destinations in one transaction.

The Good: The United Airlines Vacations site is easy to navigate, and we found some cheap deals here, even without the need for “promotion codes”. If you are looking for United Airlines Vacations promotion codes, the absolute first place you should search is under the “deals” tab. Under “deals”, you simply enter in your hometown (or where you will be leaving from), and United Airlines Vacations will generate all of their current promotions to any destination worldwide. For instance, we found United Airlines Vacations promotions from Seattle to Brussels which include the flight and 4-star hotel (with daily breakfast) from only $1100*!   We also found 5-night packages to Maui for less than $980*.    We did not need promotion codes to get these deals. If a United Vacations promotion code is needed, it will given to you.

If your destination is not flexible, finding promotions is just as easy. From the “Deals” tab on United Vacations home page, select “Featured Destinations”. This will pull up United Airlines Vacations list of destination promotions. Simply scoll down to see if your desired destination is listed. One aspect we really like is that after you click on your desired destination, they give you a detailed description of the destination, along with a link to view all “Calendar of Events” happening in the area. If you are looking to take a vacation with the kids but don’t know what date would be the best time to go, you can select a destination and get dates for all the current events, parades, fairs, and exhibits!

The Bad: They do not allow you to pre-select your seat on the plane. Also, United Airlines Vacations cancellation policies are complex and expensive. Make sure to spend a few extra dollars on the travel protection plans to protect yourself.

The Fees *:   Hold onto your hats, this is a alot to handle…

  • All refunds must be made more than 3 days prior to departure.
  • $50-$100 to CANCEL a U.S., Canada, or European vacation; and $50-$300 to cancel a Caribbean or Mexican vacation. The earlier you cancel the cheaper it will be. In addition, be prepared to pay supplier fees (hotel, ect.).
  • Published airfare is not refundable, but rather may be re-booked within one year. Airline penalties are in addition to other fees, up to $250.
  • Up to $50 to REVISE a reservation.
  • $15 baggage fee per first bag/per leg of trip. $25 baggage fee per second bag/per leg. (Note: For no baggage fees on your first couple bags, check out Southwest Vacations!).
  • $15 Express Delivery fee ONLY for bookings made less than 14 days prior to departure.
  • Up to $150/per person fee for lost airline tickets that require reissuance by United Vacations.
  • There are some HIGHLY RECOMMENDED travel protection plans you can purchase at the time of booking on United Vacations:
    • United Airlines Vacations Cancellation Waiver: allows you to modify or cancel your entire package, or part of it, for any reason up to 24 hours prior to departure without incurring supplier penalties (ie. not United Vacation penalties). The cost of the waiver is not refunded. Published airfares are a non-refundable component of your vacation package and are not covered by pre-travel cancellation waivers.
    • “WorldCare Complete Coverage” plan combines the United Airlines Vacations Cancellation Waiver, plus the WorldCare Complete Coverage to reimburse covered expenses related to unexpected events that could occur during your vacation, such as accident or sickness. The plan includes access to 24-hour worldwide emergency assistance services.
    • “WorldCare Ski Travel Protection” plan offers cancellation insurance to reimburse land and airfare expenses should you need to cancel for a covered reason such as illness or injury to yourself or a traveling companion. Only for winter ski vacations.
