The Good:
BlueBay Resorts are very romantic and perfect for couples who want an adult only vacation. They have a newlywed package at the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda in Mexico. If you have been married for less than 6 months they will upgrade you to a Deluxe ocean-view room and give you the “thermal labyrinth” treatment. We tried to figure out what the “thermal labyrinth treatment” was, to no avail, but we’re pretty sure it has nothing to do with Star Trek! Couples can also book the all-inclusive “Paradise for Two” package at the adult only Punta Serena Villas & Spa, which includes all meals, drinks, horse-back riding, boat ride through mangrovers, and two 55-Minute massages. We hear that this resort is “clothing optional”, so it may not be for the bashful! Just one click on BlueBay Resorts “Spa” tab, and you want to be there. Look at those spa pictures! Extraordinary. Blue Bay has family resorts as well, with great specials, such as kids-stay-free.

The Bad:
Where is their cancellation policy?! We could not find it, so that is a little disconcerting. Their site seems slow and a little confusing. Our testers found some broken links, and had a hard time finding available dates for some resorts. If you click on the rate calendar, you would assume that it would automatically search those dates. However, it doesn’t. It just places those dates back in the search-box, and you need to scroll to the top of the screen to hit “search” again. We had thought our computer froze up. Looks as if they have some site design issues. Finally, if you are located in the United States you may find their terminology odd. Either the words are misspelled in English, or the word-choices don’t seem to fit. A few pages came up in Spanish, even though we speak English.
